Applying for the 2017 - 2018 programme

Applications for the 2017 - 2018 Programme opened  on 1 December 2016 and closed on Tuesday 31 January, 2017 at 5 p.m.

When Will I Hear?

If you have applied BCLM administration will have acknowledged your application.  You will be informed whether you have been successful or unsuccessful during the week commencing 6 March, 2017. Selection is made by the Programme Directors, the Director and Chief Executive of the Black Country Living Museum and a representative of Arts Council England.  If you are successful you then have nine weeks to prepare for the first residential. You should immediately start to plan your Overseas Study Visit.

Beyond 2018

MRL has been very successful and we have, through the Black Country Living Museum, applied for further funding for resilient leadership development as part of the Museum's NPO bid to the Arts Council England. This bid has been successful and we're happy to say that MRL will run through to 2022.  Applications for the 2018-2019 programme will open in the autumn of 2017.

MRL 2017 - 2018

The Programme will begin at 12 noon on Wednesday 10 May, 2017 at the Centre for Management Creativity, Malham, North Yorkshire.  A minibus collects participants from Skipton station at 10.30 a.m. that morning. This first workshop finishes at 3.00 p.m. on Friday 12 May. The Programme returns to Malham for the concluding residential on 21, 22 & 23 March 2018.

Generally, the start and finish times for all workshops are designed to allow for the use of public transport; MRL encourages this for all travel to workshops and events.  See also Costs & Travel.
